All contracted work will require a signed letter of agreement, specifying the work to be performed and the terms and conditions.
I require 50 percent of the negotiated fee in advance, upon hiring, with the balance due upon my delivery to you of the final draft, or upon your decision to terminate the project. Payments to me can be made by credit card or bank debit via PayPal; I will also accept certified cashier's checks or money orders. (I do not accept personal checks.)
In working, I strongly prefer to use Microsoft Word, although I can accept and work in plain text, rich text, html, pdf (Adobe Acrobat), and PowerPoint formats.
To maximize speed of communication and to minimize expenses, I find it best to correspond and exchange documents via email. However, I’ll accept typed or printed manuscripts or material provided on CDs or flash drives, and sent by postal or express-mail services. You would be responsible for costs of shipping, printing manuscripts, or for purchase and use of other media. You’d also be responsible for travel or research expenses required by the project, but only with your prior approval.
